Quote of the Day

Paralawyer's Dad: “hey, that message thing is great! How we talked online the other day? That’s neat!”

Am I the only one this happens to?

In January, I found my dream job -- a boutique law firm that does just music law. Through many phone calls/emails with one of the partners, I was confident that we would arrange an interview. But it never happened. So when a legal placement service told me they had an opening at a boutiqe music law firm, I was excited. As it turns out, it was the same friggin' firm. How's that for irony? And oh, I never got an interview through the headhunter either. It seems the law firm dicked them over as well.

Fast forward to early March. I apply for a paralegal position in the NFL's legal department doing trademark work. That was 3 weeks ago and I've heard nothing.

Today I called another legal placement service to see if they had anything in entertainment or IP. The woman told me she had a paralegal job available at the NFL.

If it turns out to be the same position I applied for, I just might jump off the Brooklyn Bridge...with a few human resources people in tow.
