YEE-HAW!

I'm headed to the T-X tomorrow for the first time. I'm am very excited. I already know that I'm playing golf on saturday at a great course, and will be attending a game at Ameriquest Field. That will up my baseball stadium total to six (yankee, shea, wrigley, comiskey, veterans stadium and amriquest). It's not a great number, but i'm working on it. (Boston and Baltimore will happen soon, I hope.) And the golf will be played on one of the best public courses in Texas.

Aside from the sports, I will not leave Texas until seeing the inside of these establishments: (1) SONIC (not the inside, but the drive-thru); (2) TACO CABANA; and (3) any BBQ shack by a guy named Bubba or the like.

Look for a full report when I return. Happy Memorial Day!

Foooooore!!!

I have once again caught the golf bug. I was really serious about the game 6 years ago while living in Chicago, but this time it's different. I read every golf magazine possible and play 18 holes almost every weekend in an effort to improve my score. I managed to shave SEVEN strokes off my score in a week.

Today I started reading a book about the famed US Open at Bethpage Black. On one of the toughest holes in the history of golf, some no-named local pro hit his tee shot 350 yards, chipped to within 3 feet of the hole, and sank his putt for a birdie.

I'd still be looking for my ball in the woods.

She's Earned Her Keep

Through much ass-kissing and hard work, The Girlfriend got us box seats to tomorrow's Yankees game. Fortunately, I don't have this problem when going to a game with her.

Bumper Sticker

I saw the funniest bumper sticker this weekend. It's better than the usual run-of-the-mill "my kid and my money go to ______ university." This one was:

My money goes to the University of Arizona.
I don't know where my kid goes.

LOFL!
